I have discovered several ways to make money online. These things that I am going to share with you will most likely not get you rich, but do add a nice supplement to your income. The type of work that I have done to make money online is mainly writing articles, and blogging for pay. If you have a website or blog, you can also use the blogging for pay sites to pay people to advertise your business on their blogs. Here are some of the best ones I have found.

Blogsvertise.com - This paid to blog site, pays you through PayPal 30 days after your post is made. Most submissions need to be 2-3 short paragraphs and include 3 links to the advertisers site. You can set up your account to specify the lowest amount that you will accept to post a task. I suggest setting the limit low until you have posted several things for them. The offers I get are usually around $10, but they have gradually increased over the last few months of working for them. They have very good people working for them that will let you know if there is something that needs to be fixed before they accept your post. They also have some tasks that are simply putting a link in your sidebar. For this kind of task, you will get paid monthly for the link.

PayPerPost.com is said to be one of the best get paid to blog sites. PayPerPost.com is one of the more difficult paid to blog programs to be accepted to, but if you are persistent, you will eventually be accepted. The great thing about PayPerPost.com is that they give you a tack rating according to how well the advertisers like your posts. As your tack rating goes up, you will be qualified to write posts that are worth more money. Again, accepting posts that are for low dollar amounts will help you get established, and increase your tack rating, as long as you are writing good posts. PayPerPost also pays via PayPal, and will pay for approved posts after 30 days.

BloggingAds.com is another great pay per post site. What is different about BloggingAds.com, is that they actually give you the choice of writing your own post, or using one of five that they already have written, so all you have to do is copy and paste them into your blog. Of course, it is much better for your blog if you create your own unique post, but if you are running short on time, it is an excellent option. BloggingAds.com pays you within 30 days via a PayPal account.

Smorty.com is a pay to blog site that pays you via PayPal weekly. This is the only pay per post blogging site that I know of that will pay you that quickly. So far I haven’t seen an offer over $6 on Smorty.com, but I am still fairly new to this site, and it may increase with time like the others do.

Bloggerwave.com is a fairly new paid blogging site that is fairly easy to get approved for. Their offers are between $6-10 so far. The only thing about this site is that they do not have that many advertisers yet. They also pay via PayPal, usually at the end of the month.

Associated Content.com - This site pays you to submit non-exclusive or exclusive articles. If you submit articles to them with non-exclusive rights, you are still allowed to use your articles for article marketing, or whatever you want, but if you submit them as exclusive rights articles, you are selling all your rights to this article, yet it will remain the same, and will have your name attached to it. They will make you an offer on your article, and then you can decide if you want to accept of reject the offer.

Helium is another place for you to post your articles and make money. Most of the money I have made from this site has been from their ongoing weekly contests. They also have a “marketplace” where you can post your articles and have a chance at being selected to be published in various magazine, which you will be paid pretty good for. You also get paid a few cents for each page view to your articles.

Of course there are several more money making sites out there, but these are my top eight, and they really do pay you. You do not have to spend hours doing surveys only to find out that one half hour survey is worth $1. Good luck, and I hope this information can help you in some way.

We all want a million Website visitors a day right? Without web site marketing and promotion you would have one visitor a day, YOU. There are many ways in which you can increase the number of visitors to your web site.

You already know how to make your own web site, now you need to know how to promote it, and more importantly, you need to know how to do it properly. It is important that you know what NOT to do before you start promoting your Website. The reason for this is that there are several things that you would not think are bad that will harm your web sites rankings.

What NOT to do

First I will go over some of the things that you want to make sure you do NOT do. One of the biggest killers of sites is duplicate content. The SE's know that anyone can create a big, nice site that makes a little money then duplicate the exact same site over and over and over to make even more money. The problem with that is the Search Engines want to deliver informative, unique results to their users.

If someone types "Website Promotion" into a search, they want several different options. They don't want to see the exact same content everywhere. This is why the search engines will very rarely rank two or more pages with the same content very high. There are always exceptions to the rule, but 99% of the time one will be indexed and rank, while it's copies will not.

Another thing you do not want to do while marketing your Website is to link to "bad neighborhoods." There are alot of sites out there that do not follow the rules. These sites may somehow earn a few dollars in the beginning but they always fail and get banned eventually. Make SURE you do not link to sites like these. Of course you can not always tell but use your best judgment and really take a look at each page that you want to link to.

Now lets get into the things you NEED to do...

One of the most effective techniques in promoting a Website is Article Marketing. This is the process in which you write an article (around 300 or so words) about something in your 'niche' (your sites topic.) You then find some good Article Directories and submit your article to them including a link or two pointing to your site in the 'About the Author' or 'Signature' block.

Now you will receive a one-way link from each article directory AND other webmasters can post your article to their site as long as they include your signature block. This means not only will you get one-way links from the article directories you will also get some from other webmaster.

The links that you recieve are not the only benefit of articles. If your article is interesting enough, and/or teaches the viewer something new, they are very likely to follow-through to the link in your signature block.

Finding link Partners is also a very important factor in getting your site seen by others. When the SE spiders go out crawling the net one of the biggest things they are looking for is the number of links that are pointing to each site and the quality of those links. If you have alot of quality links pointing to your site then your site is probably important. Keep in mind though that 10 links from strong, quality sites are always better than 100 links from weak sites with low quality.

There are a few different types of links you can go for...

Reciprocal Links - This is a link in which site A places a link to site B's site and site B places a link to site A's site. This was one of the most common link-building practices years ago and it is still being used today. However, it is not nearly as effective as it once was and it's also against the Terms of Service of some of the major Search Engines such as Google.

Triangular Links - This is where site A places a link to site B, site B places a link to site C and site C places a link to site A, forming a triangular linking pattern. This gives each one of the sites a one-way link. This can still be effective if all three parties have some type of authority and are hosted in different geographical locations. In other words, don't link your own sites together triangularly.

One-Way Links - A one-way link is THE BEST type of link you can get. Natural links (below) are a type of one-way link. Above we talked about submitting articles, this creates one-way links. This is very simply explained as site A provides a link to site B but site B does not provide a link back. Now site B has a one-way link.

Natural Links - Natural links are the most beneficial type of link you can obtain. It is "natural" when another site places a link to your site on theirs strictly because it is of value to their visitors. These are the type that the Search Engine's love to see but we cannot control that, or can we?? This is another reason to have good rich content on our sites. For instance I placed links to other sites on my Directory List because they are useful directories.

"Content is King"

If that's the first time you've heard that phrase, you'll be hearing it more in the future. When it comes down to it, you will not get many visitors if you do not have much content. The more pages you have the higher the liklihood of traffic.

This is simple, write as much quality content as you possibly can. A web site is NEVER complete. It takes constant updating because the world is always changing. If you create a site and leave it, there is a chance that your visitors will swindle down to nothing.

Article Marketing (Writing Articles)

There are many factors that go into the successful promotion of a Business via the Internet. Sure, you can pay for advertising using Google Adwords or one of the other Pay Per Click (PPC) programs but who wants to spend money on something that they can get for Free? Article Marketing is a free form of advertising that can and will skyrocket your sales if done correctly!

What is Article Marketing? Article Marketing is the process of writing interesting articles on your niche and submitting them to popular Article Directories, Ezines and Newsletters in order to brand your name, product and/or service.

Each article that you create will have a Signature Box, AKA resource box, section that contains a little information about your Business including a link or two pointing to your Website. These links will help in the Search Engines (SE) ranking of your Website but that is only the beginning!

The ultimate goal is to create articles that are of value and interest to the viewer. Article Marketing is a very hot topic in the Internet Marketing community for good reason. The problem is, most people do not appreciate the beauty of this marketing machine.

The true power of Article Marketing lies in the Authors willingness to truly help their audience. When you create interesting, helpful articles that answer questions and/or fix problems, they have a good chance of going viral. A viral article is one that is so interesting that one person sends it to his or her friends and their friends send it to their friends and so on.

In order to succeed with Article Marketing you need to understand the routine of the average Article Marketer. The average Article Marketer writes an article in about 20 minutes and blasts it to as many article directories as possible. Their main goal is to write as many articles as possible and submit these articles to as many article directories as possible.

Most of the articles that they create are on rehashed subjects that their target audience probably already knows all about. They have not generated interest and they have not solved any problems! The only thing that they gain is links from several different article directories of which are mostly low quality.

Now that you know that, you already fall in the top 10% of all Article Marketers and you haven’t even begun!

How do I get started with Article Marketing? First you need to know your target audience. Most likely you already know who you will be targeting, as it is the same as the target audience of your Business.

Second, think of a problem that your target audience faces. The larger the problem, the better. If you know how to solve this problem then you are ready to begin. If not, keep thinking until you come up with a problem.

Once you have decided what topic your article will be on, you will need to come up with one main “keyword.” For instance, if the problem you are addressing is how to remove coffee stains from a carpet then your keyword may be “coffee stain removal.”

Now think of an attractive title. The title of your article is extremely important; as this is what will draw in your viewers, so make it interesting. Another thing to keep in mind is that many of the Article Directories place the title in their META tags. If you are not sure what META tags are it’s OK. Just know that they play a role in the Search Engine's (SE’s) decision on whether or not a particular page should rank high for a specific keyword. Be sure to insert the keyword that you came up with into the title.

Now you need to put your thoughts onto paper, not in the literal sense unless this would be easier for you. Open your favorite word processor, Microsoft Word is the most common, and type in your title.

Now that you have a topic and keyword, it is time to write the article. When creating your article let the words flow just as if you are speaking. Try to make it as interesting as possible and break it up into several small paragraphs. This will make it easier to read, as most people “scan” through articles online. Be sure to create a paragraph at the very end of your article that contains about 2 sentences. This paragraph is your “Signature Block” and this is where you will say a few words about your Business. Be sure to include a link or two as well.

Once you have finished your article it is time to submit it. Go to EzineArticles.com and ArticleDashboard.com and create an account. Once your accounts are created and active you are ready to submit your article. It can take several days for these sites to approve your article, as they are manually reviewed.

The last thing you will need to do is seek out Websites that contain Newsletters and/or Ezines. Contact these Webmasters and let them know that you create interesting articles that focus on the subject within their list and you would be delighted if they would take a look. Some of these Publishers will deny you and some will accept. The main thing is that you continue to write interesting articles as often as possible.

That is how to get started with Article Marketing in a nut-shell. Just “rinse and repeat” and you will start to see some very good results!

Make Money with Google Adwords

You probably know the earning potential that Google Adwords brings to the table. But, if you are like me, you are intimidated by the large learning curve Adwords brings. For the longest time I avoided using this advertising giant. I tried it a while ago but only lost money so I figured I would give it up until I learned the complete system. Well that never happened but I did learn a simple way to earn with Google Adwords without learning all of the complicated mumbo jumbo that everyone talks about.

The following technique is actually pretty easy, you may even say it is common sense.

1. Start off by doing a few Google Searches for low-competition keywords. The ideal keyword would be one of a product or service that has only 2-4 sponsored ads to the right side of the page.

2. Once you find a good product to promote you will need to either purchase a product that is very relevant to this keyword that comes with master resale rights or find an affiliate program that you can promote.

3. If it is a product that you will be promoting, create a sales page including a purchase link. I use PayPal for this but you can use whatever you want. Once this is done you are ready to create your campaign. If it is an affiliate link you will be promoting then you are ready to begin your google adwords campaign as well.

4. Go to your Google Adwords account. If you do not have one then you will need to Create a Google Adwords Account. Create a simple campaign with a catchy title and description. Use as many relevant keywords as you can think of. Do not specify any particular region unless the product would only appeal to one specific region. Complete the ad setup and be sure to split-test it by adding a second ad to your campaign. Give it a couple days and see how each ad is performing. Select the least performing ad and change it. The two ads in your campaign should always be competing against one another.

5. Repeat the entire process as many times as you possiblt can. Can campaigns/products will not make you any money while others will make a lot. The more campaigns that you can make like this the more income potential there is.

One of the best ways to earn extra income online is to promote free affiliates. One common misconception is that you need your own website in order to profit from affiliate marketing.

Many Internet marketers and everyday people are earning extra income online just by promoting affiliate programs. In order to profit, you must know the basics. It is a very smart idea actually and if done correctly, everyone wins.

In simple terms, affiliate marketing is getting paid from companies that have products in which you sell for them. For example, company A sells business card software and they need to make some sales. They will create an affiliate program that pays anyone a certain percentage, usually around 10 percent, for every sale that is made by someone that they refered to them.

So how do you make money from affiliate marketing if you do not have a website to drive traffic to it? There are several ways to earn with affiliate marketing without a website.

PPC advertising – There are several different companies offering PPC (pay per click) advertising. All you have to do is pick one, like Google Adwords, and you set a bid on how much you want to pay per click of your link. You can usually make a lot of money with affiliate programs using the PPC technique only bidding five to ten cents per click. The trick is writing an appealing ad that converts and bidding on the appropriate keywords.
E-books – You can earn a huge extra income online just by creating an informational e-book with your affiliate links inside. Just pick a topic, any topic, and write an informational guide on how to do something or about anything at all. Once the e-book is created just give it away. Go into discussion forums, for example, and offer it for free to anyone. Try to do this in forums that are relevant to the product.

It's one of the HOTTEST things in Internet Marketing and it doesnt look like it will be going away any time soon. It's called 'niche marketing' and it's a huge money making opportunity.

People like Tim Gorman have been doing niche site marketing to bring in over $10,000 per month. The beauty of this technique is that it can be duplicated over and over again.

The following are the only things you will need in order to put it into place and start making money:

A Google Adsense Account - This is how you will make your money. You just place Google ads on your website, for free, and you will get paid everytime someone clicks on your ads. If you do not have an account just go there and create your free account.

Basic Writing Skills - You do not need to be an English major. As a matter of fact, if you can write to the quality that I am writing, then you can write about your niche topics.

Just type in keywords you are curious about and pick those that are only searched about 100 or so times a day.

The absolute best way to promote a niche site, or any site for that matter, is with article marketing. The way it works is you create as many articles as you can on the topic or niche of your website. Submit these articles to article directories like EzineArticles.com, ArticleCity.com and ArticleDashboard.com

You will be placing a little information about your website, as well as a link to your site in the 'signature block', which resides at the bottom of your articles.

Article marketing works very well with niche marketing, but you need to be persistant. Try to submit at least one or two articles a day and you will start to see a steady stream of traffic coming into your niche sites, in turn clicking on your google ads and making you money!

You can create one for your own personal use to show your family and friends, promote your own companies products, make money by promoting affiliates or various other money makers. No matter what you plan to make a website for this is how to do it.

If you aren't looking to learn all of the technical aspects, you may want to take a look at the featured product below.

Step 1: Come up with an idea for your website. Try to make it something you are interested in and/or something you have at least some knowledge of. If you have no knowledge on the subject but you really want to create a website on the subject it is possible just be sure you research things before you give out information.

Step 2: Think of one good keyword or keyword phrase. If you are building a website about inline skates your keyword should be something like "inline skates." When choosing your keyword keep your competitors in mind. If you are building a website about computers you may want to think twice before picking the keyword 'computers'. If you have plenty of money for marketing your website then you may be able to be successful with a very competitive keyword but if you are an average person just getting started you may want to think of something a little less competitive like 'computer information.'

I would suggest picking a keyword that is RELEVANT to the theme of your site that has somewhere between 2,000 and 10,000 searches a month to get started. This is because of what I said before, competition. If you are starting your first website you DO NOT need to waste your time competing with Dell or Microsoft. Once you choose your Keyword or Keyword phrase either write it down or memorize it, this will be a very important part of getting your website known.

Step 3: Now that you have the idea for your website and the keyword, you need a domain (the actual website address, ie. http://www.yoursite.com) Now you need to think of a domain name. When considering your domain name, try to think of one that has each word of your keyword or keyword phrase in it, for instance, if your keyword is computer information the idea domain would be http://www.computerinformation.com. Of course most domains are already taken so you will have to add something in, a suggestion would be http://www.computer-information-now.com . Do not get too stuck on picking the right domain name, although it is better to have your keyword in your domain, it will not badly damage your marketing.

You register domains through what is called a Registrar. Choosing a bad registrar can cause problems in the future. I have always used the same registrar called 1and1, so I honestly couldn't tell you all about every one out there. 1and1 provides me with everything I have needed in my online business and I would recommend them to anyone. For this instruction I will use 1and1 for the examples as this is the registrar I am familiar with. To find out which domains are available go to 1and1 homepage, on the right in the middle of the page there is a spot to check domain availability, you simply type in the domain you are interested in and it will tell you if it is available or not.

Step 4: Now that you have chosen your domain name you will need to register it. Right now, one domain on 1and1 costs 6 dollars per year. This is a very good price, I think just about everyone in the world can afford to spend six dollars a year to own a website that could possibly bring in 10,000 times that in a year.

On the previous step I explained how to find out if a domain is available or not. Go back to the 1and1 website, type in the domain you have chosen and just follow the simple steps. You will have to choose a hosting package, since you are probably brand new to all of this you may want to choose the basic package but if you know you are going to stick with this you will eventually want to purchase the business package.

Step 5: Now you have come up with the idea for your site, chosen a good keyword, chosen a domain and registered it. Now how do you actually create the website? I think this is the step that scares most people away from the idea of making your own website, but it is actually very easy. You DO NOT have to know HTML ( Hypertext Markup Language - The code that actually makes a website work) to build a website, you DO NOT have to know anything about Website Design, all you have to know is what I have told you already and what I am about to tell you.

If you do know how HTML works it is possible to make your website straight through your host but it will take you 10 times more time and effort. There is software out there that has been created for you to use that will create the HTML for you. I use a program called Dreamweaver.

Dreamweaver is said to be the number one website building software on the market. This is the only software I have used and I can honestly say it is INCREDIBLE. When I first purchased this software I had no idea how to use it. It took a few hours to learn the basics and a few weeks to learn the more advanced stuff but anyone can learn how to use it just by messing around with it and seeing what things do.

Dreamweaver also provides a good training tutorial on their website. Purchasing this software will be the biggest investment you will make in the whole process of making a website but in the long run it is WELL worth the investment. If you get stuck you can always call them.

One of the hottest things to hit the Internet since ... Windows; Weblogs? It seems like anytime you speak with someone about the Internet the word "blog" comes up. So what is so special about them and how can you create a free blog?

Lets start by talking about what exactly a blog is and talk a little about how they came about. The word 'Blog' comes from the word 'Weblog' which was coined by Jorn Barger in 1997. The beginning of free blogs was sometime in the early 90's when people would make a running journal of their lives. In the mid 90's it began to be a little more popular and as of November 2006 there were an estimated 60 Million free blogs that people had created!!!!

So why do millions of people do this? Of course one person has a different reason than the other but I think most do it for fun. You can create a free blog on just about any topic from health to business to se_. You can use them as a reference for yourself, to show family or friends and/or to make money blogging .

You do not have to know anything at all about Internet Marketing, html or anything else to start one. When you hear the phrase "Free Blog" you do not have to worry about any hidden cost like most things that are advertised as free. You REALLY do not need any money at all to start one.

So how do you start a free blog? All you have to do is go to a blog provider like WordPress.com or Blogger.com and sign up, that's it! They walk you through it and it is actually very easy.

So how can I make money after I create my free blog? The easiest way to do this is to sign up for Google Adsense and place google ads on your blog. The ads will automatically show up with relevant ads to your site. Every time someone clicks on one of them you get paid.

Make Money through Paid Online Surveys

I no longer promote Paid online surveys. When i began my internet marketing career, I dabbled in surveys and did earn a few extra dollars.

The problem is, they were extremely time consuming and there are so many other ways to make a quick buck.

I have left this page up so that hopefully those looking to try out paid online surveys will read this and realize that they are not worth their time.

Most of the sites that offer surveys make you pay a fee to start. Once you have paid you will receive emails requesting your participation. The problem is, you do not qualify for half of them. If you do, the survey is so long that you fall asleep half-way through it and the small amount of money that you MIGHT earn isn't worth the time investment.

To make it even worse, one of the biggest paid online survey services SurveyScout.com, doesnt even pay you. They just enter you into a drawing where you COULD win some money.

Probably the easiest and most legitimate way to start making money online is by writing (typing.) Believe it or not, you do not need any writing skills and you certainly don't need to have any kind of a writing background to get started.

So, you do a little research on the topic(s) they need an article(s) on (they typically provide links to research material) and then you write the article, it's that easy. There really is no catch. Sure, it takes some effort, but it's legitimate and MANY people are doing this everyday to earn some extra money!

I started off online about 5 years ago writing and was earning several hundred dollars a month before moving onto other things and you can just as easily, but you will need to know a few things to get started.
